Owl in a Tree
The "Owl in a Tree" is currently my most intricate and challenging ornament to make. With some details as small as 1/75th of an inch thick, this ornament pushes the boundaries of what I can do with my craft. The "Owl in a Tree" contains a forest scene which features an Eagle, Owl, Deer, Squirrel, and a Fox chasing a Rabbit.
This ornament is also a slight departure/evolution of my design style. In this ornament, I decided to try incorporating more details of the Owl itself, particularly the feathers around the eyes, ears, and tail. I think it brings a visceral energy to the ornament, and I would say that it's one of my personal favorites. I think it's pretty obvious that you need more Owls in your tree!

The In a Tree series fits naturally into holiday décor, but it isn’t tied to a single season. With their rustic feel and layered detail, these pieces are just as at home on a bookshelf, mantel, or desk — wherever they can be enjoyed all year long.
