Leech Lake Map – Cass County – Minnesota
It's no surprise that Leech Lake is one of the most popular lakes in Minnesota. This massive body of water has a surface area of more than 10,000 acres, and lots of structure for fishing, boating, and divers to explore. This lake has a maximum depth of 150 feet, and it was a challenge to figure out how to represent that without making the shallower parts of the lake look boring. It took me a couple of weeks to work it out, but the results are stunning. There are parts of this map that look like the Grand Canyon.
This is another one of those maps that really stands on its own as a work of art - even if you have no affiliation with the lake.
